As a practice, we are true believers that preventative care and education are the keys to maintaining optimal dental health. We strive to provide “dental health care” vs. “disease care”. That’s why we focus on thorough examinations – checking the overall health of your teeth and gums, performing oral cancer screenings, and taking x-rays (digital) when necessary. We also know that routine cleanings, flossing, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease. Not only are we focused on the beauty of your smile, we’re concerned about your health. A review of your medical history can help us stay informed about your overall health, any new medications, and any illnesses that may impact your dental health.
Uncompromising Safety
In the River Delta Dental office, all instruments are sterilized with high-pressure steam autoclaves, and allequipment are disinfected prior to every use. Infection control in our office is extremely important to us. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).
Our office uses digital x-rays, exclusively, ensuring comfort and minimizing radiation exposure.
Training & Expertise
Twice a year, our River Dental Dental staff attends the California Dental Association conferences in San Francisco and Los Angeles, which offer the latest information in dental techniques and know-how; the latest products; and the newest equipment that modern dental offices utilize to provide state-of-the-art dental care.
Dr. Spalding has been a lifetime member of the American, California, and Sacramento Dental Associations. As a dentist who is passionate about providing superior services for his patients, he attends continuing education classes throughout the year to stay abreast of the continuing changes and recommendations for our profession.
